Nokia 5900 XpressMusic

There is an exciting news I found over at the Internet. It seems that there has been an leaked information on the Nokia 5900 XpressMusic. According to source, the new Nokia 5900 XpressMusic will sport touchscreen, 600-MHz processor, 192 MB of RAM, updated interface S60 5th edition SP1, and a 5 Megapixel camera. I sure expected much on the camera, since the Nokia 5800 XM’s 3.2 Mpx camera is a disappointment, at least for me.

Anyway, it is still a rumor, no leaked image is available (the one in the picture is Nokia 5530 XpressMusic; another XM touchscreen). However, we do get a bit insight of what Nokia 5900 XM will look like and the prediction of its announcement date. The Nokia 5900 XpressMusic is said to be lighter and thinner than the older brother, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. Our source said that the Nokia 5900 might be announced on Nokia World 09 in September. So lets cross our fingers and hope for the best

Certificate Error problem solution

As much as I like themes to personalize my Nokia devices they are also a cause for the vast majority of all questions I see in this blog.

“I have problems installing themes please help me” or “I get a “certificate error” message when trying to install a theme what do I do” or “I get an “certificate expired” error message when installing a theme please help”

If you try to install a theme and see the above error message “Certificate Error. Contact the application supplier” You are trying to installed an application that is not Symbian signed.

The solution is easy. Simply switch the setting in the Application Manager from “Signed only” to accept all – “Software Installation: All”. You can find the application manager in the tools folder, then click on “Option” to bring up “Settings”.

Another common issue is the “Expired Certificate” error. The certificate that the theme developer used may have expired. However, there is an even easier fix for this issue.

Simply set the date on your device back 3 to 16 months and then install the theme. After you successfully installed the theme don’t forget to set the time correctly on your device.

If none of those option works try to sign the application/theme on Symbian Signed: https://www.symbiansigned.com/app/page/public/openSignedOnline.do

With that being said I am now off to trawl the internet for some new great themes. If you have any themes to share with us please.

The other simple way is just install Freesigner. Click add then open the application or the theme u want to sign location, click on it then options and click add 3 options will be shown chose “self sign” but if the file is already signed (usually its extension *.sisx) u must click remove sign then go again to the theme’s folder u will find the same theme name but with *.sis extension then do the “self sign”. after that close the FREESIGNER and go to the folder u will find ur theme or app. have the same name with “signed” added and with *.sisx extension congrats u have signed theme.

Free Game “Spin The Bottle" for Nokia 5800

nokiafever

There was very limited digital technology available for entertainment and passing time in the past. There was no internet, no hi-fi devices or computer games. VHS and laser disc were the only things we would watch at home mostly or in friend’s gatherings we would play the old “Spin the bottle” game, forming a circle and spinning a bottle in between its, either you play “Consequence or Truth” or “Dare”.
Recently folks from OffScreen have introduced a modern version of “Spin the Bottle” which can be played using Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone.

When you launch the application you will see a champagne bottle, written on it *Spin Me* on top of a wooden floor. Now flick your finger and spin it any direction you want clockwise or anticlockwise. You can do it in any speed you want depending on the speed of your finger you apply on it.

You can entertain your friends by placing your Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone in the middle and spinning the bottle one by one. This simple game has the nice graphics and animation.

This application is freeware and available at Ovi Store.
